This was an Adventure Cycling tour, The North Star Expedition. Overall, it was an outstanding journey - challenging terrain, largely empty territory, serious mosquito battles, well executed teamwork, and great riding companions. My one complaint is that the Expedition was run on too small a budget. Why sleep off the side of the road with no facilities when for a few dollars more you can stay at a campground or even (gasp!) a hotel room? Another consequence of the too small budget was that I couldn't eat peanut butter for about 4 years. However, I would do this tour again, and I just might in 2010.
