The "Open Digital Infrastructure in Astrophysics" meeting is to be held June 4-5, 2019 at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics (KITP) at UC Santa Barbara. This event is sponsored by the Sloan and Ford Foundation through its Digital Infrastructure Research program.
This special 2-day meeting will be held while the KITP programs "Better Stars, Better Planets: Exploiting the Stellar-Exoplanetary Synergy" and "The New Era of Gravitational-Wave Physics and Astrophysics" are in session. Participants in these programs will be encouraged to attend our meeting.
The meeting’s intent is to highlight open-knowledge digital infrastructure, software instrument communities, metrics for success, developer models, diversity, funding models, and sustainability plans.
