Detonation Density I (2010)
In this paper by Jackson et al we explore the effects of the deflagration to detonation transition (DDT) density on the production of 56Ni in single-degenerate white dwarf supernovae. We find a quadratic dependence of the NSE yields on the log of the transition density, and that the metallicity on the transition density decreases the 56Ni yield, slightly more than that due to the variation from the initial composition.
